About.

We are AKA: An, Kate, and Ava, sophomore women at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. We are a part of a program called MIT Global Teaching Labs that sends MIT students to teach in foreign schools and centers for 3-4 weeks in January (http://misti.mit.edu/global-teaching-labs). Our destination: Santiago, Chile! There, An and Kate will teach tailored courses at the Universidad Mayor in computer science that complement the school's curriculum and highlight MIT's hands-on approach to education. We will be teaching Scratch to 12-16 year olds and Python to University students. Ava will teach physics at a three training camps for high school students hoping to compete in the International Young Physicists Tournament.
